Core - Chuck

Functional Characteristics
- Expansion of the core chuck occurs as a result of counterrotation of the expansion assembly relative to the flange/cam - unit
- The expansions elements slide on the cam surface and are forced outward
- Bearings on both ends of the expansions cage ensure smooth operation
- The expansion force is proportional to the load/torque applied
Maintenance
- The expansion elements are manufactured from a softer material than the cam.
This means that any wear will result on the easily replaceable expansion elements. not on the cam itself.
- Paperdust penetrating into the expanding cage may be removed by use of compressed air. Simply remove the screw on the tip of the unit, pull of the expanding unit and blow out with an air hose.
Note:
Never lubricate the expending chucks!
Only unsealed ball bearings may be greased.
- Disassembly of core chucks - the expanding units are fixed to the cage
What makes our chuck unique?

When working with different core diameters the Expanding Units can easily be changed to the corresponding size. Simply loosen the screw on the tip of the chuck, remove it from the cam and slide the correct unit into position and replace the screw.
